Fake followers

With fake followers, an account can artificially increase its reach by buying followers, because greater reach means more collaborations and greater attention. However, buying followers is considered a dubious practice and is quickly exposed by many companies and cooperation partners.

Influencers whose number of followers is bought and whose likes and posts are not organic are called fake influencers and do not have a high standing in the social media world.

However, most influencers maintain their profile and do not accept every request from companies. They do not want to run the risk of losing credibility. Influencer marketing agencies or direct influencer management also advise against fake followers; reach can also be increased through hard work and constant exchange with the community.
