Algorithm

An algorithm describes complex computational processes that ensure that search engines and social media platforms sort content in a meaningful way. The social networks such as TikTok, Instagram and Twitter, for example, use algorithms to control which content users are shown preferentially. This type of presorting is influenced by various factors, e.g., the content to which a user frequently responds. The probability of users finding new content interesting and interacting with it is derived from this.

Due to the close connection to the community, posts by influencers are usually displayed very frequently by the algorithms of the social networks, which is an important argument for the use of influencer marketing.
